I got up early this morning so I could get to the life drawing workshop ahead of others and get a good spot. Plenty of people showed up and there was a little argument about someone reserving seats for others, which is not allowed because it’s on a first come, first served basis.
Overall, I felt good about today’s efforts.
20 minute pose: pastel pencil with white highlights on toned paper
2-minute warm up poses: sumi ink – chopstick pen and brush
It was a very crowded room at today’s life drawing workshop. I was sitting at a different spot from where I normally sit and I think I may have to move to another location where I can see better what I’m drawing. it was a little dark from where I was sitting. I like to draw with some touch and I seemed to draw with a heavier hand. The lighting on the model is very good, though. I’ll have to leave home a little earlier next weekend so I can get a better seat.
Here are some samples of what I did today.
